This tree was inspired by my teenage sweetheart Danny, who loved to imagine and manifest dreams along side me. He encouraged me to pursue the creative arts and our favourite movie was What Dreams May Come starring Robin Williams. This is the tree I planted in my mind to remember our fated love. He was Romeo and I was Juliet. Now he's married and I'm a workaholic. But this tree, this tree makes me pause to reflect on something sweet.

Lauren Benn is a Canadian artist who paints solely from her imagination. The 41-year-old journalist, editor and former government worker decided she loves being creative and getting inspired by her fantasies much more than she likes typing furiously at a desk. You can typically find her in her home studio, covered in paint, and loving it.
